Industries and Applications Civil engineering
01Civil engineering
The civil engineering industry, being one of the most traditional economic sectors, is characterised by a low level of automation, which in combination with the limited availability of qualified personnel causes huge problems in terms of managing construction companies and maintaining fixed prices for construction services.
These problems have both economic and social implications, which is why CBRTP started to address research problems in the civil engineering industry.
Together with our research partners and enterprises in the civil engineering industry, for many years, we have been conducting research on the introduction of mechatronic systems that can automate construction activities, especially in physically demanding areas (masonry work, plastering, punching, drilling, etc.).
We have developed various solutions, including a method of application of plastering mixes designed specifically for automatic systems, and systems for autonomous application of fireproofing, thermal insulation, plastering mixes etc., creating the basis for changing the standards in the construction industry.
